Force Sports Center Director of Facilities
Chelsea is entering her Fifth year as Facility Director at Force Sports Center. A three-time Lone Star Conference first-team selection, Chelsea helped lead the Angelo State volleyball team to the NCAA Division II South Central Championships two seasons in a row and to the 2012 LSC championship. The Belles amassed a 98-38 overall record during her time in uniform.
“Volleyball has really been a big passion in my life and I get very excited about the opportunity to share what I’ve learned about the game,” Chelsea said. “It really is a game that has taught me a lot about life and being committed to goals.
Chelsea ranks eighth all-time in ASU volleyball program history with 1,097 kills and seventh in blocks with 310. She led the Belles in kills with 310 as a sophomore in 2010 and also topped the block assists category in the 2010 and 2011 seasons. She finished her playing career with 225 digs, 285 blocks assists and a .274 hitting percentage.
A Spring Branch native who played high school volleyball at Smithson Valley, she was also a LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll member and president of the Sociology Club as an undergraduate at ASU.
Chelsea graduated in May 2015 with a Master of Education in Coaching, Sport, Recreation and Fitness Administration at Angelo State after earning her bachelor’s degrees in sociology and psychology from Angelo State in 2013.
Chelsea received the USA Volleyball Meritorious Service Award in June of 2019 for her hard work and dedication to her job and powerful impact on the volleyball community.
Chelsea is married to Greg Whitlock and they have a son, Henry and a second child due in December 2019!
