Kelsey Huber was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and went to MacArthur high school where she was a 4 year varsity volleyball player. She was a three-sport starter, including volleyball under Coach Margaret Mitcham. She earned Academic All-District in basketball, volleyball and soccer, and also made the soccer and volleyball state playoffs once her freshman year and they made it to regionals her senior year. On the club circuit, she helped her team take 11th place in the Open Division her 14s year and second place out of nearly 1,000 teams in the American National Tournament. She recorded 320 kills, 33 blocks, 35 aces and 339 digs as a senior and made the Northside ISD and North East ISD all-tournament teams her junior and senior year. She continued her career at St. Mary’s University on a full ride scholarship where they made the Heartland Conference Tournament during her freshman year and her junior year. She ended up setting the program record for total attempts in a four-set match with 60 against Dallas Baptist (10/4) and ended her career with 2,921 total attempts, the fourth-most in program history. She also had 10 or more kills in 11 matches. Kelsey started working with Force in 2014 and she is also on her fourth year working at her alumni high school, MacArthur, coaching JV volleyball and track.
