18 DS Assistant Coach
2018-19 will be Justin’s second season with Force. In his first season he was head coach of both the 16 and 13 select teams. Snyder is also in his first season as the assistant volleyball coach at St. Mary’s University. Snyder came to St. Mary’s after a 23-13 season as a graduate assistant at Jacksonville State.
A native of Dayton, Ohio, Snyder’s experience includes spending time as a volunteer assistant at Davidson in 2016, coaching club teams and working volleyball camps. His Carolina Juniors 15s squad earned a trip to nationals in Indianapolis and he’s coached camps at Appalachian State, NC State, University of Alabama at Birmingham and North Carolina. As a player, he spent four years as a member of the Belmont Abbey Men’s Volleyball squad. A two-year starter at middle hitter, he also spent time at outside hitter and helped lead the team to an 18-11 record in his final season, the best single-season total in program history. He collected 173 kills, 83 blocks and carried a .400 hitting efficiency during his final season en route to leading the Crusaders to their first playoff victory in school history.
A 2016 graduate of Belmont Abbey College, Snyder earned his Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management.
