18 Darkside Assistant Coach
Blair was born and raised in Houston, Texas, but now lives in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated high school from St. John’s School and played for the varsity volleyball, basketball, track and cheerleading teams. Blair received numerous honors athletically and was a three-year letter winner in volleyball as middle blocker, a four-year letter winner in basketball, and a one-year letter winner in track. Outside of high school, she competed on AAU basketball teams for five years beginning at the age of 12 and played one year of club volleyball her senior year for the Texas Tornados.
Blair earned her bachelor degree in Organizational Leadership and Supervision from Purdue University. While attending Purdue, Blair played for the women’s volleyball team from 2007 to 2011. She came to Purdue as a walk-on and earned a scholarship her red shirt senior year. Blair red shirted her first year but started her last three years as a defensive specialist, including two years as the team’s Libero. She participated in three NCAA Sweet 16 Tournaments and one Elite 8 appearance. Blair’s personal accomplishments include winning the 2008 Sue Jurkonis Most Improved Upperclassman Award, 2009 Sue Jurkonis Strongest Upperclassman Award, 2010 Sue Jurkonis Strongest Upperclassman Award, 2011-2012 Red Mackey Award, and the 2011 Ben Korschot Perseverance Award. She finished her volleyball career ranked seventh in Purdue history for career digs with 1,265, fifth all-time with 3.21 digs per set, and started Libero for Purdue in its 2011-2012 stanza finishing 29-5, its best record in 26 years.
Blair’s coaching experience includes seven summers at Purdue Volleyball Camps, two summers with All-American Volleyball Camps, and one year as a club coach at Lafayette Area Volleyball Academy. This will be Blair’s third year coaching with Force Volleyball.
